Song produced for the 50th anniversary of the plane crash of Olgiate Olona (Italy) occured on June 26, 1959 - note: seventy people died in the crash - and its title simply refers to the place and the date of the tragedy, “Olgiate Olona, 26 Giugno 1959”. The lyrics are focused on the story of young girl Mary B. (10 years old) who perished in the crash embraced to one of the hostess in service on the flight; her sad story - she was travelling alone, her relatives were waiting for her to arrive in Chicago, U.S.A. - is full of commotion and for this reason in this song Mary is the symbol of that tragedy. A particular thanks is for our friend Alberto Colombo author of the book Il disastro aereo del 26 Giugno 1959 a Olgiate Olona (Macchione Editore, 2008) that was the main inspiration for this song.
